Mint Detail — Mobile Car Detailing

Mobile Car Detailing Guide: What a Full Detail Really Includes

What a mobile car detail really includes, how it differs from a valet, and how to choose the right package for your car in North Essex.

Valet or detail: which do you need?

A valet is a thorough clean: wash, vacuum and wipe-down, with deeper work on a full valet. A detail goes further, adding decontamination, machine polishing, deep interior work and long-term protection. If your paint is dull, swirled or rough to the touch, or the interior needs more than a vacuum, a detail is the right choice. If the car is generally in good shape and just needs a proper clean, a valet is enough.

What happens during a full detail?

A full detail starts with assessment and a careful wash, then decontamination with iron remover, tar remover and a clay bar. Paint is then machine polished where it needs it, the interior is deep cleaned, and the result is protected with a sealant or coating. The order matters: protection applied over contaminated or defected paint would lock those problems in.

How long does it take, and what should you expect to pay?

A mini valet typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours, a full valet 3 to 4 hours, a premium detail 6 to 8 hours, and a ceramic coating package a full day or two. Prices are from-prices and vary by vehicle size and condition: Mini Valet from £75, Full Valet from £145, Premium Detail from £295 and Ceramic Coating from £595. Keeping the result

Wash with pH-neutral shampoo, avoid automatic brush washes, and keep up regular maintenance washes. A coated car should get a maintenance wash every 3 to 4 months. Regular valets between details keep the finish looking its best for longer.
